LOVE

I wanted to create a new framed piece for the Fall Festival to go along with the notecards, tags, and ornaments. I thought that the world could do with more love, so that was my word choice for this quillography.

I've been wanting to make something with a torn paper background, so that is what I did for this piece.

I cut out each letter and then outlined them with a double layer of quilling paper.

I had a general plan sketched out, though I did make some changes along the way based on what paper I had available and what felt right at the time.

I did patterns with a solid fill in the "o" and the "e" and left the others more open.

The rainbow in the "L" looked too bright within the letter, so I added some paper with more muted shades over each color layer. Depending on which angle you view it from, the rainbow will be bright or muted.

I LOVE the way it came together!
