End of Summer
I found some stationery with beautiful flowers.
I used it for some more paper stitching, to keep my hands busy while contemplating the next step on my current quilling project.
I kept this one pretty simple with a backstitch to outline the petals, and then I used a chain stitch for the stem.

I managed to convince E to give paper stitching a try, too. He chose a red paper and blue embroidery floss. A friend came over to play soon after and that proved more appealing than embroidering with me, but I think he's off to a great start!
UPDATE! Looking at my stitched piece again, while getting ready for the 2023 Solon Fall Festival, I realized that it looked unfinished.
